Gold Under The Texas Sky
Ever tasted fresh-pressed olive oil? Texas Olive Ranch farmers Jim Henry and Karen Lee make it available for locals this week! Take a gander at the bright-jade green Texas gold to the left, framed by whippy olive trees and the big Texas sky. Eat your heart out, Tuscany (their harvest isn’t for a month or so)!
Then get yourself down to Flavors From Afar or the McKinney Farmer’s Market Saturday to try it for yourselves. There is nothing like this fresh-pressed, grassy taste with savory mid-palate notes and a spicy finish.
Jim will have bottles to sell in McKinney Saturday; we’re taking orders for ours, which will arrive next week. $10 for ¼ liter. Buon appetito, y’all!
