Wednesday, November 25, 2026, Thanksgiving Eve.
What time does the event start?
Doors open at 5 PM. There are two dinner seatings: 5:30 PM and 8 PM.
How much does it cost?
Tickets are $75 per person. Early Bird tickets are $65 through November 15. Early Bird pricing ended November 15.
What's included with my ticket?
A non-alcoholic welcome beverage, three-course Pan-African dinner, live Afrobeats DJ, communal or private table seating, and a Thanksgiving Day to-go meal.
What comes in the Thanksgiving Day to-go plate?
Turkey, Thanksgiving sides, and dessert.
What are the dinner entrée options?

Can I attend by myself?
Absolutely. Friends From Afar welcomes solo guests. Our communal Friendsgiving table is designed to help people meet, connect, and celebrate together.
Can I come with friends?
Yes. You can reserve together and request private table seating, subject to availability.
Is there a communal table?
Yes. Guests may choose to join the communal Friendsgiving table.
Are alcoholic drinks included?
No. A non-alcoholic welcome beverage is included. African wine is available by the glass for $10, and wine and beer are sold separately.
Do I need a ticket?
Yes. Advance tickets are required through the OpenTable Experience. Walk-ins are not accepted.
How many seats are available?
There are 40 seats at each of the two seatings, for a total of 80 seats.
What is Give a Seat?
Give a Seat is a $75 sponsorship that provides a Friends From Afar experience for a refugee or immigrant spending their first Thanksgiving in Los Angeles.
Can I sponsor more than one guest?
Yes. You can sponsor multiple seats, subject to the availability of the sponsorship program.
Will I hear about the seat I sponsored?
We'll share an update about the impact of your contribution while respecting the sponsored guest's privacy.
