Founded by Meymuna Hussein Cattan, an Ethiopian refugee and trained chef, Flavors from Afar was born from a simple belief: migration is beautiful.

Our kitchen celebrates Africa's flavors and traditions, bringing together familiar dishes, thoughtful interpretations, and wines with roots across the continent.

Every plate and every pour tells a story of place, memory, and movement. Recipes passed down. Traditions carried across borders. A table where cultures meet.

At our heart is workforce development, creating opportunities for refugees, immigrants, and culture keepers to share their culinary knowledge while building careers in hospitality.
